2020 FHSAA Class 2A State Basketball All-Tournament Team

Source Hoops’ Pat Lammer was in Lakeland for the 2020 FHSAA Boys State Basketball Tournament. He will be unveiling All-Tournament teams — one per day — for all seven classes Class 1A-7A. Here is the second installment:

CLASS 2A ALL-TOURNAMENT TEAM

MVP: Ven-Allen Lubin (2022), Orlando Christian Prep

The OCP sophomore had a double-double with 16 points and 15 rebounds in the semifinals vs. Tampa Bayshore Christian. Lubin came back with 16 & 9 and played all 32 minutes in the state title victory over Jacksonville Impact Christian. The 6-foot-7 standout shot 13 for 21 from the field in the tournament and grabbed 14 offensive rebounds.

Jordin Jackson (2020), Jacksonville Impact Christian

The Warner University recruit had 15 points, 7 assists, 3 rebounds and 2 steals in the semifinals vs. Miami Schoolhouse Prep. The speedy 5-9 guard put up 14 points, 3 assists and 2 steals in the state championship loss to OCP. For the tournament, Jackson connected on 10 of 21 from the field. He got to the free-throw line for 12 attempts. Jackson does not come off the floor. He played 65-plus minutes.

Anthony Brown (2022), Orlando Christian Prep

The 6-3 guard scored in double-digits in both games for the state champions. Brown scored 16 points in the W over Bayshore Christian and came back with 10 in the state championship victory vs. Impact Christian. Brown went 11 for 24 from the field and was 3 for 3 at the free-throw line.

Eric Butler (2020), Orlando Christian Prep

Butler flirted with a triple-double in the semifinals vs. Bayshore Christian with 10 points, 8 assists and 7 rebounds. The 6-3 standout contributed 12 in the state championship victory over Impact Christian. Butler made 8 of his 15 field-goal attempts.

David Fitzgerald (2020), Tampa Bayshore Christian

The 6-4 senior posted 21 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists in the semifinal loss to the eventual champions, OCP. Fitzgerald connected on 8 of 17 from the field and played all 32 minutes.
